Please encourage your child to continue to practice their instrument regularly. Individual practice makes the entire band sound better. With our trip being less than 2 months away, personal practice is imperative.
Please remember to encourage your school board members and administrators to continue to support our music program. With the state funding less toward education, it is imparative that we all advocate for music and the arts. When budgets fall short, the arts and music are often the first cuts made. Please keep in mind that our band program as it exists provides a home and co-curriculars for students who may not otherwise be involved in school in any other way. Simply state to board members and administrators, "Thank you for providing a great band program for our children. Please continue to keep this program intact as it exists today."
